Unable to Lower or Raise Fan speed in LOC
(Back to top)
If you are running the fans in LOC mode, and find that the fans will not run below a certain threshold. And the fans will only ever run at a certain upper and lower bound, it is likely that the MIN/MAX values on the VFD are set incorrectly.
1) Confirm that the VFD is in LOC
Set the VFD to run in LOC mode, use the guide here to change the VFD between LOC and REM.
2) Stop the VFD(Required)
Press the STOP button on the VFD to turn off the fans.
3) Navigate to the correct settings
Press Enter/Menu -> PAR(Parameters) -> Press Enter
-> Press ▲/▼ to find 20 -> Press Enter -> Navigate to 2007(min Frequency) and 2008(max Frequency).
Press Enter on the parameter to get into the actual setting, then press enter again twice to enable editing.
Min Frequency should be 0Hz, and Max Frequency 60Hz
Use the ▲/▼ to adjust these values.
Press Enter to save them. Then Reset/Exit to go back to the main menus.
4) Test the VFD in both LOC and REM
Once these parameters have been adjusted successfully, test the VFD in LOC mode to make sure you can adjust the fan speed beyond the previously set thresholds.
Then test them in REM mode from the HMI Dashboard to ensure you can control them remotely.
5) Submit a ticket
If the VFD is still having issues/not functioning properly, submit a ticket to customer support. Be sure to include as much detail as possible, possible, and let them know what if anything was changed on the VFD. Submit as many relevant pictures as possible along with a detailed description for the ticket submission.
Include information such as:
Did the VFD have a min/max threshold that was not 0 or 60Hz? What were they?
Where any other parameters changed?
Were you able to control the fans in LOC/REM mode before? If so, to what extent?
