Checking for power:

1) Check the voltage at the input terminals at the top of the PLC. (You will need to pull down the front guard to measure this with a multimeter).

2) Confirm that the power terminations are correct (use the follow diagram). And check for voltage at the input terminal block using a multimeter. L to N should show a voltage difference of approximately 110V.

Checking the fuses:

3) If voltage is NOT present. Confirm that the PLC is properly wired, then check the continuity of the following fuse (these will appear in the VFD cabinet, look for the one with LA1 - LA connecting wires). You can use this video, How to check/swap a fuse, If a bad fuse is found, carefully remove the fuse cartridge (use rubber insulating gloves to do this) and replace with a fresh one (test continuity of the new fuse before replacing them). Replacement fuses are going to be found in the Blue GIGA bags that arrived with the container, or you can request replacement fuses through the Customer Support line.

4) Once the fuse has been replaced, the PLC should power on. Check the voltage at the power inputs on the PLC, if voltage is present and the PLC still does not power on, contact customer support and submit a ticket. Provide as much detail as possible and indicate you suspect a PLC failure.

Power Cycling the PLC:

To power cycle the PLC, disconnect/pull out the fuse cartridge with wires labeled LA & LA1 connected to it. (wear insulating gloves to do this). Then push the fuse back into place.

Setting PLC to RUN from mini-PC

If the light remains orange when the PLC powers back on, then you will need to manually set it to run from the mini-PC.

1) Confirm that the ethernet cable is firmly connected to the PLC and there is no obstructions preventing a connection, do the same for the mini-PC.

2) Contact customersupport@gigaenergy.com to setup a troubleshooting meeting here: Giga Support
